Position Overview:

The Operational Excellence Manager will play a crucial role in translating Ericsson’s strategic plans into actionable initiatives and ensuring their successful implementation across the organization. Reports to: Head of SDO & Strategy Execution, Market Area Middle East and Africa

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:

  •    – Translate Ericsson’s high-level strategies into comprehensive strategic programs with clear timelines and KPIs
  •    – Coordinate and manage strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with Ericsson’s organizational goals
  •    – Lead and oversee the execution of strategic projects from initiation to completion
  •    – Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies

2. Operational Process Improvement:

  •    – Conduct thorough analysis of current operational processes across all of Ericsson’s service lines in the region
  •    – Identify inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions for improvement
  •    – Develop and implement standardized procedures to ensure consistency and policy compliance
  •    – Collaborate with various units to integrate operational excellence principles into Ericsson’s company culture

3. Performance Monitoring and Analysis:

  •    – Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives
  •    – Regularly monitor and analyze performance data to assess progress against Ericsson’s strategic goals
  •    – Review, report, and analyze operational performance, making recommendations for ongoing improvements
  •    – Prepare and present comprehensive reports to Ericsson’s senior leadership on the status of strategic initiatives

4. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  •    – Work closely with Ericsson’s department heads and teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of strategic initiatives
  •    – Serve as a liaison between the strategy team and operational units to facilitate seamless implementation
  •    – Collect feedback from stakeholders, conduct necessary research, and develop improvements

5. Change Management:

  •    – Lead and manage organizational change initiatives within Ericsson’s Middle East and Africa operations
  •    – Apply change management principles to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and strategies

Requirements:

  • – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred
  • – Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in strategy execution, operational excellence, or related roles, preferably in the telecommunications industry
  • – Strong understanding of Ericsson’s telecom and security domains, including implications of technology transformation
  • – Proven track record in translating high-level goals into actionable plans
  • – Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • – Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI)
  • – Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • – Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • – Experience in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and leading change initiatives
  • – Knowledge of business operations and market dynamics in the Middle East and Africa region
  • – Familiarity with Ericsson’s products, services, and strategic objectives is a plus
