Job Description
The Corporate Affairs Intern will support the Corporate Affairs team in implementing communication strategies, managing stakeholder engagement, and enhancing KWAL’s brand visibility. The role is ideal for candidates eager to apply academic knowledge in real-world scenarios while gaining valuable corporate experience. Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to both internal and external communications, social media engagement, and event support activities.
This internship offers exposure to various aspects of corporate affairs, from drafting press releases and handling media outreach to supporting community engagement programs and internal communication campaigns. It is designed to equip interns with hands-on skills that are critical for building a successful career in communications, journalism, public relations, or corporate affairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and distributing internal and external communication materials including newsletters, press releases, and social media updates.
- Support the execution of corporate events, stakeholder engagements, and brand-building initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare communication reports to track KWAL’s brand visibility.
- Contribute to the development of digital content for KWAL’s official platforms including social media and the corporate website.
- Assist with community outreach and sustainability initiatives aligned with KWAL’s corporate social responsibility goals.
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Affairs team as needed, including documentation, scheduling, and project coordination.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and digital communications tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (internship or volunteer) in internal, external, or social communications.
- Familiarity with corporate communication strategies, media relations, or brand management.
- Basic knowledge of content management systems and digital marketing tools.
- Creative mindset with the ability to contribute fresh ideas to campaigns and initiatives.
