Job Overview: Bancassurance Sales Representative

Position Highlights

Reporting to the Regional Bancassurance Sales Manager, this critical role will be responsible for:

  • – Driving insurance and retail product sales
  • – Expanding customer relationships
  • – Achieving aggressive sales targets
  • – Delivering exceptional customer service across KCB branches

Key Responsibilities

Sales and Performance

  • – Achieve comprehensive sales targets for both insurance and retail products
  • – Meet and exceed budgeted sales objectives
  • – Identify and meet customer needs through strategic selling and cross-selling of general and life insurance products
  • – Maintain a customer retention ratio of 85%
  • – Monitor and report daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
  • – Drive Life Partnership sales and ensure set budgets are met

Customer Relationship Management

  • – Manage customer queries and complaints related to insurance products
  • – Provide timely and effective resolution of customer issues
  • – Escalate complex queries to appropriate management teams
  • – Ensure accurate documentation and application processing
  • – Assist clients with claim documentation and form completion

Operational Excellence

  • – Conduct branch staff training on bancassurance products
  • – Ensure strict adherence to credit control policies for premium collection
  • – Manage claim reporting and documentation
  • – Maintain compliance with KCB group policies and business expectations

Qualifications and Requirements

Educational Background

  • – Minimum C+ in K.C.S.E., with C+ in Mathematics and English

Bachelor’s degree in:

  • – Insurance
  • – Actuarial Science
  • – Marketing
  • – Related Business field
  • – Professional insurance certification preferred
  • – Diploma or Master’s degree is an advantageous addition

Professional Experience

  • – Minimum 1 year in sales
  • – At least 6 months in customer-facing or relationship management roles
  • – Strong knowledge of insurance products
