They are currently seeking exceptional candidates to join their Security Services Department in two critical roles:

1. Manager, Security Services, Central Office (Job Ref. HR: KP1/5B.2/1/3/1558)

Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director & CEO, this senior role is responsible for shaping and implementing KPLC’s overall security strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • – Advise the CEO and managers on protective/security policies and strategies
  • – Formulate and enforce security policies, standards, and strategies
  • – Monitor and evaluate security strategy implementation
  • – Coordinate security audits, investigations, and risk assessments
  • – Oversee intelligence collection, analysis, and dissemination
  • – Manage regional security teams and operations
  • – Ensure timely outsourcing of competent contracted security providers
  • – Coordinate security training programs and sensitization initiatives
  • – Oversee incident response planning and investigation of security violations
  • – Maintain an up-to-date databank of security incidents
  • – Liaise with national security stakeholders
  • – Initiate measures to prevent encroachment of Company wayleaves
  • – Prepare the divisional security budget
  • – Coach, mentor, and develop the security team

Requirements:

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management or equivalent
  • – Minimum 10 years of experience in security, with 5 years at a senior level
  • – OR 10 years in disciplined forces as a Commissioned/Gazetted Officer
  • – Professional certification in a security-related field
  • – Membership in a security professional body
  • – Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills
  • – Problem-solving abilities and emotional intelligence

2. Chief Security Officer, Regions (Job Ref. HR: KP1/5B.2/1/3/1559)

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is responsible for implementing and overseeing security measures across KPLC’s regional operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • – Oversee implementation of security measures and regulations
  • – Safeguard company assets against theft, damage, and sabotage
  • – Liaise with law enforcement agencies
  • – Sensitize internal and external customers on security matters
  • – Supervise contracted and seconded security personnel
  • – Conduct security intelligence surveys and risk assessments
  • – Investigate motor accidents involving Company vehicles
  • – Evaluate and report on changes to the regional security environment
  • – Implement strategies on business continuity, privacy, and fraud prevention
  • – Coordinate security efforts across various departments in the region

Requirements:

  • – Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management or equivalent
  • – Diploma in Criminology/Forensic Science or related field
  • – Military/Police training
  • – 9 years of relevant security experience, with 3 years in a supervisory role
  • – OR 9 years in disciplined forces as a Commissioned/Gazetted Officer
  • – Strong understanding of KPLC’s business operations
  • – Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • – High levels of integrity and ethical conduct

Additional Information:

  • – The Manager, Security Services position (MG04) offers a renewable 5-year contract based on performance and business needs.

4. Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)

5. Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
