Position Overview

The Account Manager position offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of the fastest-growing delivery platforms in Africa. This role involves managing key partnerships and driving business growth in the Kenyan market, specifically focusing on popular brands, stores, and restaurants in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities

  • – Building and maintaining strong relationships with partner businesses through regular communication and business reviews, ensuring partner satisfaction and engagement across the Glovo platform
  • – Conducting detailed performance analysis and creating comprehensive reports on portfolio metrics and KPIs, implementing strategic actions to achieve company objectives and growth targets
  • – Developing and executing growth strategies through promotional campaigns, marketing initiatives, and menu optimization to improve key metrics such as average order value, conversion rates, and cross-selling opportunities
  • – Managing partner content quality and negotiating preferred partnership agreements to enhance Glovo’s market position
  • – Implementing marketing strategies with partners using various tools and merchandising materials to increase brand visibility
  • – Leading commission negotiations and asset sales to boost revenue streams while maintaining partner satisfaction

Required Qualifications

  • – Minimum 1 year of proven experience in high-performance account management or business consultancy
  • – Strong proficiency in both English and local languages
  • – Advanced computer skills, particularly in Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite
  • – Exceptional commercial acumen and negotiation abilities
  • – Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • – Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • – Project management expertise with attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, or Public Relations
  • – Experience in FMCG, food-hospitality, or on-demand delivery sectors
  • – Demonstrated success in a fast-paced startup environment
