Qatar Airways Job Description

As an Airport Services Agent in Nairobi, you will be the face of Qatar Airways at the airport. Your primary role is to ensure smooth operations and create a seamless, five-star experience for our passengers from check-in to boarding. You’ll help manage customer journeys with professionalism and care, making this role ideal for those pursuing airport customer service jobs in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with check-in and transfer desk teams to ensure smooth acceptance of passengers
• Escort and guide passengers to visa counters, hotel desks, premium lounges, and boarding gates
• Support the Duty Officer in handling records, reports, and company materials
• Work closely with Ground Handling Agents (GHA) to facilitate hotel and transfer processing
• Assist passengers through all stages of the airport journey with efficiency and empathy
• Monitor the performance of GHA staff and ensure Qatar Airways service standards are maintained
• Coordinate documentation, check-in counters, and operational readiness
• Undertake any additional duties as required to support smooth airport operations

Required Qualifications

• High School qualification as a minimum
• At least 2 years of job-related experience
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in the airline, travel, or hospitality industry
• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
• Must have legal authorization to live and work in Nairobi, Kenya

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in airport ground handling or airline customer service
• Knowledge of airport systems and international travel protocols
• Strong understanding of aviation safety and security procedures
• Multilingual ability is a plus
