Job Description
The Assistant Public Communications Officer supports the implementation of PSC’s corporate communication and customer engagement functions. The role focuses on handling citizen enquiries, managing communication channels, supporting corporate events, and ensuring inclusive communication through sign language interpretation.

Key Responsibilities
- Connecting and managing telephone calls for customers and responding to Citizens Service Delivery Contact Centre enquiries.

- Capturing and maintaining data for organized and scheduled corporate events.
- Drafting corporate event briefs for dissemination to customer relations personnel.

- Registering participants during conferences, official visits, seminars, and workshops.
- Distributing hard copy and digital corporate publications to internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- or its equivalent, with at least C- in English and Kiswahili.
- Demonstrated good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Diploma in one of the following disciplines from a recognized institution:
- Telecommunication Operations
- Customer Service
- Public Relations
- Communication Management
- Event Management
- Front Office Management
- Or an equivalent qualification
- Certificate in Sign Language from a recognized institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to public sector communication or customer service environments.
- Basic skills in photography, videography, or digital content editing.
