About the Role

The Health Services and Sanitation Department is seeking a dedicated Assistant Public Health Officer to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on community health and environmental wellness.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering vital Environmental Health Extension services in their designated area, including:

• – Conducting community mobilization and sensitization on environmental health matters
• – Providing expert guidance and advice on public health issues
• – Managing immunization programs and campaigns
• – Identifying and addressing environmental health challenges at the grassroots level
• – Planning and executing community health awareness days
• – Maintaining detailed records of all services provided
• – Conducting comprehensive community health needs assessments
• – Implementing effective vector, vermin, and rodent control measures
• – Developing and executing integrated mosquito control strategies
• – Facilitating proper referrals to appropriate health facilities

Essential Requirements

Candidates must possess:

• – A Diploma in either Environmental Health Science or Public Health Inspection from a recognized institution
• – Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution
