Key Responsibilities
1. Business Acquisition (60%)
- Drive the implementation of SBM Bank’s business development strategy at the branch level.
- Grow the customer base alongside liabilities, assets, and cross-selling of banking products.
- Develop and execute strategic branch business plans, revenue forecasts, and sales pipelines.
- Support marketing campaigns and provide feedback on product performance and market trends.
- Ensure timely submission of sales activity reports aligned with set SLAs.
2. Service Delivery & Operations (10%)
- Monitor and enhance customer service levels to ensure satisfaction and client retention.
- Implement robust risk management and control systems for safe, compliant operations.
- Ensure that branch premises uphold brand image and physical security standards.
- Execute operational routines consistently as per the Branch Manager Daily Routine Guidelines.
3. People Management (20%)
- Provide inspirational leadership to the branch team and drive high performance.
- Coach and mentor staff through structured performance management practices.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend appropriate training or upskilling interventions.
- Foster a positive work culture aligned with SBM’s values and strategic direction.
4. Compliance and Risk Management (10%)
- Ensure adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to mitigate business risks.
- Champion and monitor compliance frameworks across all operational aspects of the branch.

Direct Reports:
- Service Delivery Manager
- Relationship Managers and Officers
Key Stakeholders:
- All existing and potential branch clientele
Qualifications and Job Requirements
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related discipline (e.g., Finance, Banking, Economics).
- Professional certifications such as AKIB are an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within the banking or financial services industry.
- Thorough understanding of branch operations, banking policies, legal requirements, and service delivery frameworks.
