Caravan Captain Role Overview

This position represents an exciting career opportunity for qualified senior pilots looking to advance their aviation career in the safari and regional flight operations sector. Successful candidates will be responsible for safely commanding aircraft, leading crews, and maintaining Safarilink’s high standards of professionalism and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and command Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft across Safarilink’s route network
• Lead and mentor flight crew members, providing guidance and training when required
• Ensure full compliance with all company policies, KCAA regulations, and international aviation standards
• Conduct thorough pre-flight planning, weather assessment, and risk management
• Perform comprehensive pre-flight inspections and aircraft performance calculations
• Maintain accurate flight documentation and records
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service when interacting with passengers
• Participate in safety management initiatives and continuous improvement processes
• Represent Safarilink professionally both on the ground and during flight operations
• Take on instructional and checking duties as required by the company

Minimum Requirements

• Currently serving as a Senior Captain on type (Cessna Caravan) and/or possessing the leadership attributes to lead the fleet agenda
• Must have been a Safarilink employee for at least one year
• Thorough knowledge of the Company’s operations manual and KCAA regulations applicable to flight operations
• Clean safety and conduct record
• Valid KCAA Commercial Pilot License with appropriate ratings
• Current Class 1 Medical Certificate
• Experience operating in East African conditions preferred

• Demonstrates high level of integrity, transparency, and professionalism, setting an example for the entire fleet
