Clinical Officer Position Overview

Role: Clinical Officer

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Key Responsibilities

• – Provide comprehensive clinical services including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
• – Manage patient care through thorough history taking, examination, and treatment prescription
• – Order and interpret diagnostic tests and explain results to patients
• – Handle medical emergencies and make appropriate referral decisions
• – Perform minor surgical procedures according to Penda’s service schedules
• – Maintain detailed patient documentation and medical records
• – Deliver exceptional patient experiences through counseling and health education
• – Follow evidence-based medical protocols and Penda’s clinical guidelines
• – Participate in professional development activities

Required Qualifications

• – Diploma, Higher Diploma, or BSc in Clinical Medicine
• – Minimum 2 years post-internship work experience
• – Current registration with Clinical Officers Council
• – Valid practicing license
• – Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• – Strong commitment to patient care and medical excellence
