Java House, a leading coffee and casual dining brand in East Africa, is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook for their Foodscape division. This exciting opportunity is available in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Mai Mahiu, Kenya.

About Java House:

Founded in 1999, Java House has grown from a single coffee shop in Nairobi to a beloved brand with outlets across Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. Known for its gourmet coffee and American diner-style cuisine, Java House has expanded to include sister brands Planet Yoghurt and 360 Degrees Pizza.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Presentation:

• – Prepare high-quality dishes according to Java House standards
• – Ensure proper food presentation for an excellent customer experience

Kitchen Management:

• – Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area
• – Implement correct food storage practices
• – Monitor and maintain food quality standards

Quality Control:

• – Ensure all produced food meets Java House quality specifications
• – Assist in implementing quality control measures

Customer Service:

• – Listen to and accommodate guest concerns and needs
• – Contribute to a positive dining experience

Requirements:

Education and Certifications:

• – Minimum KCSE Grade C-
• – Certificate in Food and Beverage Production
• – Competent knowledge of cookery and culinary arts

Experience:

• – 2-6 years of experience in the food and beverage industry
