UNHCR is seeking an experienced and skilled Driver for their operations in Dadaab, Kenya. This role is critical for ensuring safe and efficient transportation services in a challenging operational environment.

Location Details

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Operation and Safety

• – Transport authorized passengers, documents, and materials safely
• – Follow strict security protocols and guidelines
• – Facilitate immigration and customs procedures for official personnel
• – Maintain detailed journey logs and vehicle documentation
• – Ensure passenger and cargo documentation compliance

Vehicle Maintenance

• – Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
• – Monitor vehicle conditions including oil, water, battery, brakes, and tires
• – Execute minor repairs and coordinate major maintenance
• – Keep vehicles clean and road-worthy
• – Follow accident reporting procedures when necessary

Administrative Duties

• – Maintain accurate records of:
•   – Official trips
•   – Daily mileage
•   – Fuel consumption
•   – Maintenance activities
• – Support risk management initiatives
• – Assist with additional duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

• – Primary Education or High School Diploma
• – Minimum 2 years of relevant driving experience
• – Valid driving license
• – Proven knowledge of driving rules and regulations

Technical Skills

• – Advanced driving capabilities
