MSF Belgium is seeking an experienced e-Logistics Coordinator to join their team in Nairobi, Kenya. This crucial role involves defining and implementing supply and technical logistics strategies to support the mission’s operations and medical projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Management:

– Participate in annual project planning and budgeting
– Define logistics strategies and provide advice to leadership
– Monitor implementation of logistics activities
– Ensure proper application of HR policies

2. Technical Support and Coordination:

– Provide technical reference for logistics issues
– Coach logistics staff
– Represent MSF in meetings with authorities and NGOs
– Ensure proper maintenance of facilities and equipment

3. Security and Risk Management:

– Define and monitor technical aspects of risk reduction policy
– Oversee security guidelines and evacuation plans
– Act as security backup in absence of leadership

4. Emergency Response:

– Collaborate with Country Support Team on logistics strategies
– Conduct rapid assessments and exploratory missions
– Provide technical support during interventions
– May assume Emergency Response Coordinator role when needed

Requirements:

– Degree in Logistics and MSF Logistics training
– Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar position with MSF or INGO in developing countries
– Previous emergency response experience (essential)
– Proficiency in computer skills (Word, Excel, internet); Unifield software knowledge preferred
– Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and people management skills
– Excellent communication and presentation skills
– Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili
– Kenyan nationality with necessary statutory documents (ID, NSSF, NHIF, KRA PIN certificate)
