Job Purpose

The Graphic Designer will support the creation and adaptation of communication materials across print, digital, and audiovisual formats, ensuring consistency with the ICRC’s corporate visual identity. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and field delegations to enhance the quality, clarity, and impact of communication outputs.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Content Production

  • Design and layout print publications, reports, and campaign materials aligned with corporate branding.
  • Create digital publications, PDFs, templates, and presentation assets.
  • Develop graphics for websites, social media, newsletters, and online campaigns.
  • Adapt print designs for digital and audiovisual formats.

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work with internal clients and field teams to identify design needs and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with audiovisual producers and digital teams to integrate design early in projects.
  • Coordinate timelines and priorities for design deliverables.

Branding & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure consistent application of ICRC’s corporate visual identity.
  • Maintain high-quality standards across all communication materials.
  • Provide technical guidance on print production and design processes.

Training & Support

  • Coach and onboard production officers on design and print production standards.
  • Support field delegations with design tools, templates, and visual identity guidelines.

Innovation & Creative Development

  • Identify creative opportunities to enhance communication impact.
  • Improve design workflows and production efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or related field.
  • Professional diploma in graphic design or visual communication is acceptable.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in graphic design across print, digital, and audiovisual platforms.
  • Proven experience working with corporate visual identity systems.
  • Experience designing for social media, web, and campaign materials.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of After Effects and video editing tools (Premiere Pro or Final Cut).
  • Strong understanding of print production and digital design workflows.
  • Ability to adapt designs across multiple formats and channels.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in English.
  • Knowledge of French or other languages is an added advantage.
