Job Description – Senior Operations Manager Jobs in Kenya

The Head of Operations and Product Development will be responsible for overseeing strategic business functions including ICT systems, investor relations, product innovation, and the resolution of legacy land-related issues. The role is designed to drive operational excellence, enhance investor engagement, and deliver market-aligned property products to boost SIC’s portfolio.

This position reports to executive leadership and plays a critical role in shaping SIC’s long-term transformation into a high-performing, technology-first real estate investment cooperative. It offers an exciting opportunity for leaders passionate about real estate development, operational innovation, and product strategy.

What You Will Do – Real Estate Strategy & Product Development

• Oversee and modernize ICT infrastructure and spearhead the digitization of business operations.
• Lead investor relations strategy, communication, and performance reporting.
• Develop and launch innovative real estate products grounded in market research and aligned with SIC’s strategic vision.
• Coordinate with Sales, Legal, and Development teams to resolve historical challenges related to problematic land assets.
• Manage operational workflows, improve inter-departmental coordination, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Drive performance through data, KPIs, dashboards, and continuous process optimization.
• Create and oversee new business ventures in real estate requiring agile operations and strong market positioning.
• Unify ICT systems, investor engagement tools, and backend support to streamline new business lines.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and legal processes to resolve land-related issues, including planning and compliance.
• Champion speed-to-market, investor satisfaction, accountability, and product-led growth across the organization.

Required Qualifications – Product Leadership & Operational Excellence

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate Management, Operations Management, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Real Estate, Valuation and Property Management, Project Management, Product Development, or a related field is desirable.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, manufacturing, product development, or service delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), PMP (Project Management Professional), or similar is highly valued.

Demonstrated Experience in:

• Leading and scaling end-to-end operations (logistics, procurement, delivery, service).
• Designing and launching new real estate or investment products.
• Implementing operational systems and improving cost efficiency.
• Managing cross-functional teams in engineering, finance, legal, marketing, and sales.
• Product lifecycle management, including roadmaps, R&D, testing, and go-to-market strategies.
• Ensuring quality control, compliance, risk mitigation, and process standardization.
• Using performance analytics to drive business decisions and transformation initiatives.
