Health Records and Information Officer Job Description – Health Information Jobs in Nairobi

The Health Records and Information Officer will manage health records, patient information systems, disease coding, data collection, and reporting while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.   • Code and index diseases and surgical procedures using ICD and ICPM classification standards.

  • Provide advice on medico-legal matters relating to health records and information management.

  • Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Certificate of Registration from the Association of Medical Records Officers Kenya (AMRO-K).
  • Valid Practicing License issued by the Health Records and Information Board (HRIMB).
  • Knowledge of ICD, ICPM, health information systems, medical records management, and health data analysis.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice, and quality healthcare service delivery.
