Jambojet, Kenya’s leading low-cost airline, is seeking a dynamic and innovative Brand Executive to join their marketing team in Nairobi. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to shape the brand image and foster customer loyalty for one of East Africa’s fastest-growing airlines.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Brand Executive will play a crucial role in managing Jambojet’s brand image, developing strategic public relations initiatives, managing the loyalty program, and cultivating dynamic partnerships. This position is integral to enhancing the company’s brand presence and market share through the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive brand strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute brand strategies to maintain and enhance Jambojet’s image and positioning

2. Monitor brand performance and suggest improvements aligned with brand objectives

3. Coordinate and implement marketing campaigns adhering to brand guidelines

4. Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to develop promotional materials

5. Track and analyze campaign performance, providing insights for optimization

6. Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities

7. Analyze data to inform brand strategies and marketing plans

8. Prepare reports on brand performance, market trends, and consumer insights

9. Develop and manage content for various marketing channels (social media, website, print materials)

10. Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and effectively communicates Jambojet’s message

11. Assist in planning and executing brand-related events, trade shows, and promotions

12. Manage event logistics, including vendor coordination and budget management

13. Conduct regular audits of marketing materials to ensure adherence to brand guidelines

14. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure brand alignment

15. Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with strategic stakeholders and industry partners

16. Assist in managing the brand budget and track expenses

17. Implement internal communication strategies to engage employees with the brand’s mission and values

18. Initiate and promote sustainability initiatives, communicating efforts to internal and external audiences

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field

2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in brand management, PR, or marketing, preferably in the airline or travel industry

3. Professional certifications in marketing, public relations, or related fields (advantageous)

4. Proficiency in public relations, marketing, and customer relationship management

5. Strong project management capabilities

6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

7. Deep understanding of marketing, partnership development, and brand management

8. Creativity and adaptability to navigate the competitive airline market

9. Ability to balance innovative brand promotion with long-term customer engagement strategies

10. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools

11. Experience with digital marketing platforms and social media management

12. Strong writing and editing skills for various marketing materials

13. Familiarity with graphic design principles and software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

14. Knowledge of SEO/SEM and website analytics

15. Experience in budget management and financial reporting

19. Develop and manage influencer marketing campaigns to extend brand reach

20. Collaborate with the customer experience team to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints

21. Assist in crisis communication planning and execution when necessary

22. Develop and manage brand ambassador programs to enhance local market presence

23. Contribute to the creation of the annual marketing plan and brand strategy

24. Monitor and report on competitors’ branding and marketing activities

25. Assist in the development and management of co-branding initiatives with partners
