KPMG Manager, Audit (Public Sector & Development)

KPMG is hiring an Audit Manager to join their Public Sector & Development practice in Kenya. Play a key role in delivering exceptional audit services to clients across Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

• – Own audit engagements end-to-end – planning, execution, reporting as per standards
• – Maintain relentless focus on quality, upholding highest professional ethics & integrity
• – Support business development – proposals, thought leadership, strategy
• – Build strong client relationships and ensure efficient information flow
• – Identify risks/opportunities and provide solutions to senior team
• – Actively develop technical skills through training and on-the-job learning
• – Demonstrate exemplary project management and engagement economics
• – Provide regular status updates against KPIs
• – Strengthen critical thinking, professional judgment, research & communication skills
• – Develop business acumen and industry knowledge to add value

Requirements:

• – Undergraduate degree from recognized university
• – Chartered Certified Accountant qualification
• – 8 years’ experience in professional accounting firm, 1+ year in managerial role
• – Strong IFRS, ISA and assurance reporting standards knowledge
• – Audit experience with major donors (USAID, EU, etc.)
• – Proficient in testing internal controls design/effectiveness
• – Experience providing technical advisory to audit teams/clients
• – Compliance with KPMG Code of Conduct

• – IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office suite
