Is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical laboratory, ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in laboratory testing and procedures. This role involves supervising and training laboratory staff, managing laboratory workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and maintaining the quality of test results.

Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience post-KMLTTB registration and must be qualified to superintend.
• Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory
  Technology
• At least three (3) years of working experience
• Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory
• Technicians and Technologists Board
• Trained and must demonstrate understanding of laboratory quality
• Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
• Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable Competencies

• Ability to lead a medical team, manage staff, and oversee clinical
  operations.
• Project management and report writing skills.
• Training or certification in hospital administration, public health, or
  emergency care.
