The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Manager – Quality Assurance, Release, Change & Configuration Management. This is a full-time, permanent and pensionable position, subject to a six-month probation period. Job Overview

This position reports to the Chief Manager – Business Application Support, QA, Change and Release in the BSTEM department. The jobholder is responsible for ensuring quality assurance across software and hardware systems, as well as effective change and configuration management in the Authority. The successful candidate will lead QA implementation across projects and programs, maintaining the highest standards of IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, support, and execute test plans, test scripts, and quality control processes.
• Collaborate with internal departments to validate quality standards and propose improvements.
• Ensure systems and software meet minimum quality benchmarks, are fully functional, and user-friendly.
• Support prioritization and allocation of resources across projects and stakeholders.
• Lead and manage QA team members in achieving assigned deliverables.
• Apply QA best practices and conduct benchmarking research to improve internal standards.
• Oversee implementation of QA, release, change, and configuration management processes.
• Ensure adherence to Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including regression, performance, and stress testing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business IT, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, with 2 years at the Assistant Manager level or higher.
• Leadership course lasting at least 4 weeks from a recognized institution is a plus.

• ISTQB Certified Tester
• ITIL Certification
• Project Management (PMP, Prince2)
• CISA, CISM, CEH, CHFI, ECIH, CISSP
• ISO 27001 Lead Auditor
• Six Sigma Certification (IASSC)
• International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA)
