Job Description
As a Marketing Graduate Trainee at Weetabix, you will undergo a comprehensive training program designed to provide a 360-degree view of marketing operations. This includes rotations across various departments such as customer service, sales, global marketing, and product development. The goal is to develop you into a well-rounded marketing professional equipped for leadership roles in FMCG marketing in Kenya and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
1. Orientation and Induction (First 4 Weeks)
- Gain exposure to all marketing divisions including Sales Management, Contact Centre, and Global Category Marketing.
- Interact with cross-functional teams to understand end-to-end customer and product journeys.
2. Marketing Executive Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with campaign planning and execution.
- Manage content development for training programs and internal communications.
- Coordinate marketing events, media planning, and campaign logistics.
- Track sales performance, update web content, and maintain marketing databases.
- Assist with competitive research and market intelligence.
3. Junior Product Marketing Manager Responsibilities
- Work alongside the local and global teams to handle product or service line marketing.
- Manage campaign timelines, customer claims localization, and demand forecasting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for product communication and performance tracking.
4. Product Marketing Manager Exposure
- Gain end-to-end responsibility for a full portfolio of products or services.
- Lead local innovation efforts and Route 1 programmes, driving brand differentiation.
5. Global Category Marketing Collaboration
- Contribute to strategic product launches and marketing innovation.
- Assist in lifecycle management, identifying content gaps, and delivering market-ready materials.
Required Qualifications
- A Second-Class Upper Division Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong interest in brand development, digital marketing, or consumer behavior analytics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
