Job Overview

One Acre Fund is seeking a Microinsurance Operations Associate to lead the development and expansion of microinsurance initiatives for smallholder farmers in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• – Design and implement new microinsurance products
• – Set up and improve operations and distribution networks
• – Engage with partners including insurers, tech companies, and NGOs
• – Develop innovative strategies for sustainable scaling
• – Monitor and evaluate product performance and impact

Requirements

• – 5+ years experience in field operations, business development, or sales (preferably in microinsurance)
• – Experience in designing and implementing microinsurance products
• – Strong project management skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• – Proficiency in Excel, including building and maintaining complex trackers
• – Passion for improving smallholder farmers’ lives
• – Willingness to spend significant time in the field
