Your Editorial Role in Digital Newsroom Leadership

• Plan, assign, and oversee daily multimedia news production across formats such as video, text, infographics, and interactive content.
• Ensure the editorial workflow is smooth from pitch to publication, maintaining journalistic standards, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Maintain an editorial calendar aligned with current trends, client needs, and audience insights.

Key Responsibilities for Digital Media Editor Jobs in Nairobi

• Edit and publish engaging multimedia stories across Switch Media platforms.
• Work collaboratively with videographers, graphic designers, and reporters to ensure cohesive content packaging.
• Ensure all digital content follows SEO best practices and is optimized for mobile and various digital platforms.

Team Management & Editorial Growth in Kenyan Newsrooms

• Lead and mentor a team of multimedia journalists and content creators.
• Provide editorial guidance, review scripts and drafts, and uphold quality standards.
• Facilitate training sessions focused on multimedia storytelling, newsroom tools, and emerging trends.

Client-Focused Content Production for Branded Media Campaigns

• Collaborate with commercial teams to produce and edit branded multimedia content.
• Ensure all deliverables meet editorial integrity while satisfying client expectations and brand voice.
• Participate in client briefings and tailor content strategies accordingly.

Innovation in Newsroom Content Formats and Digital Tools

• Stay up to date on digital media trends, including AI-assisted content, short-form videos, and interactive news storytelling.
• Recommend and execute new content formats to drive higher engagement and user retention.

Qualifications for Editorial Jobs in Multimedia News in Kenya

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of newsroom experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory editorial role.
• Proven experience producing and editing multimedia content, including text, video, and visual storytelling tools.
