Trans Nzoia County Government is currently seeking to fill Seven (7) positions for Office Administrative Assistants to join their Public Service Management Department.
Position Overview

Salary Details
Monthly Salary Scale:
- – Starting at Ksh. 26,900
- – Progressive increments up to Ksh. 35,380
- – Regular salary reviews based on performance and tenure
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be instrumental in supporting Trans Nzoia County’s administrative functions through:
Administrative Support
- – Managing oral dictation and transcription
- – Processing data and documents from manuscripts
- – Operating and maintaining office equipment
- – Ensuring document and record security
- – Supporting county government operations
Office Management
- – Maintaining an organized and efficient filing system
- – Supervising office cleanliness and organization
- – Managing visitor and client relations
- – Handling telephone communications
- – Coordinating appointments and schedules for county officials
Qualification Requirements
Trans Nzoia County offers two pathways for qualification:
Path 1 – Internal Progression
- – Three (3) years experience as Officer Administrative Assistant [3]
- – Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BES & GC) from KNEC with the following subjects:
* Typewriting II (minimum 40 w.p.m) or Computerized Document Processing II
* Business English II/Communications II
* Office Practice II
* Secretarial Duties II
* Commerce II
Path 2 – Direct Appointment
- – Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (Plain) or equivalent
- – Craft Certificate in Secretarial Studies from KNEC
- – Certificate in Computer Applications Skills from a recognized institution
- – Demonstrated work performance excellence
Required Skills and Competencies
- – Strong organizational abilities
- – Excellent communication skills in English and Kiswahili
- – Proficiency in modern office technology
- – Detail-oriented approach
- – Professional demeanor
- – Multi-tasking capabilities
- – Understanding of county government operations
