Equip Africa Institute is seeking a qualified and passionate professional to join its School of Nursing as a Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer. Job Details
- Position: Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer
- Faculty: School of Nursing
- Location: Thika Campus
- Vacancy Type: Full-Time (1 Position)

- Reports to: Head of Department – Nursing & Perioperative Theatre Technology
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Nursing, Medical Technology, or related health field.
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in perioperative theatre operations or a related role, including teaching or training experience at tertiary or university level.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Teach assigned units based on the provided curriculum and course outline.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with student learning objectives.
- Prepare and maintain student records, monitor academic progress, attendance, and achievement.
- Administer and grade assessments, Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), and term exams.
- Supervise students during practical sessions and maintain individual portfolios of evidence.
- Participate in curriculum development and review sessions to align with industry standards.
- Attend departmental meetings and contribute to program planning and improvement.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.
