Job Details

• Position: Perioperative Theatre Technology Trainer
• Faculty: School of Nursing
• Location: Thika Campus
• Vacancy Type: Full-Time (1 Position)

• Reports to: Head of Department – Nursing & Perioperative Theatre Technology

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

• Higher National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Nursing, Medical Technology, or related health field.
• Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in perioperative theatre operations or a related role, including teaching or training experience at tertiary or university level.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach assigned units based on the provided curriculum and course outline.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with student learning objectives.
• Prepare and maintain student records, monitor academic progress, attendance, and achievement.
• Administer and grade assessments, Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs), and term exams.
• Supervise students during practical sessions and maintain individual portfolios of evidence.
• Participate in curriculum development and review sessions to align with industry standards.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to program planning and improvement.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.
