Job Description
The Registration Officer I will play a core role within the Central Registry, supporting documentation, verification, compliance management, and the overall accuracy of warehouse receipt transactions. This role ensures that all warehouse receipt records adhere to national standards, are securely maintained, and meet all regulatory requirements.
The officer will be responsible for validating entries, ensuring completeness of records, managing archival processes, and reviewing documents for conformity. This position directly contributes to WRSC’s regulatory mandate by maintaining the integrity of the central warehouse receipt registry and enhancing the efficiency of data and records governance.
Additionally, the officer will participate in implementing registry guidelines, updating work plans, supporting digital record systems, and helping streamline operations through best-practice information management procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Validating data entry on warehouse receipt transactions to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Approving and cataloguing warehouse receipt transactions to confirm conformity with established standards.
- Maintaining comprehensive and up-to-date records of all warehouse receipt transactions within the Central Registry.
- Recommending replacement of warehouse receipts where necessary in accordance with set procedures.
- Verifying central registry records to maintain completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Implementing guidelines, procedures, standards, and work plans for Central Registry operations.
- Ensuring that all warehouse receipts meet completeness, authenticity, and conformity requirements.
- Managing documentation, classification, and archiving of warehouse receipts based on approved records management standards.
Required Qualifications
- Served in the grade of Registration Officer II for a minimum of three (3) years.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Management Information Science, Library Science, Records Management, Business Information Technology, Information Management, Archives and Records Management, or an equivalent discipline.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to records and information management.
- Demonstrated merit, strong performance, and ability in previous roles.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a public sector records management or regulatory environment.
- Knowledge of modern records management systems, digital archiving tools, and information governance frameworks.
- Understanding of standards for registry operations, documentation, and compliance controls.
- Experience handling sensitive, high-volume, or confidential records in accordance with established procedures.
