Nairobi County is seeking dedicated and professional Revenue Clerks to join their dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient revenue collection and management while providing exceptional customer service to county residents.
Job Group ‘H’ | 40 Positions Available | Permanent & Pensionable
Location: Nairobi County
Basic Salary: KES 26,900 – 35,380
Allowances:
- – House Allowance: KES 6,750
- – Commuter Allowance: KES 4,000
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service Excellence:
- – Provide comprehensive assistance to customers regarding revenue services, fees, and payment procedures
- – Handle customer inquiries professionally and maintain positive client relationships
- – Ensure timely resolution of customer concerns and follow-up on pending issues
Revenue Management:
- – Process revenue collections accurately using the county’s financial management system
- – Maintain detailed records of all transactions and customer interactions
- – Generate and analyze revenue collection reports (daily, weekly, and monthly)
- – Support audit processes by maintaining proper documentation
- – Monitor compliance with established revenue collection policies
Administrative Duties:
- – Manage documentation related to revenue collection and filing systems
- – Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve revenue collection processes
- – Participate in departmental training and development initiatives
- – Contribute to process improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- – Diploma in any of the following fields:
* Accounting
* Public Administration
* Finance
* Business Administration
* Information Technology
* Or other relevant technical courses
- – 1-2 years’ proven experience in customer service or administrative roles
- – Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- – Strong communication skills in both English and Swahili
