Job Description
The Senior Administrative Officer will coordinate administrative operations and support services across assigned departments, ensuring efficient resource allocation, compliance with policies, and the protection of hospital assets. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the formulation, review, and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, strategies, and guidelines.
- Coordinate effective and efficient allocation and utilization of office space, equipment, and other resources.
- Ensure the safety, security, and proper use of hospital assets in the assigned area of deployment.
- Plan, coordinate, and budget for departmental administrative operations.
- Oversee the activities of administrative support services and maintain high standards of operational efficiency.
- Maintain and monitor health and safety protocols, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures.
- Coordinate cross-functional administrative services and support departmental collaboration.
- Support Performance Contract negotiations and departmental compliance reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Political Science, Social Sciences, or other relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least six (6) years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of three (3) years at the Administrative Officer I grade or a comparable position.
- Completion of a recognized management or leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks.
- Proficiency in computer applications for administrative and office management functions.
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
