Senior Advisor, Social Mobilisation

World Vision International is seeking an experienced Senior Advisor for Social Mobilisation to drive their global advocacy efforts. This role offers an opportunity to shape and deliver impactful social mobilization strategies that engage communities and influence policy change for vulnerable children worldwide.

Locations: Nairobi, Kenya; Dakar, Senegal; Bangkok, Thailand; San José, Costa Rica; Singapore; or any country with a registered World Vision office

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy Development (20%):

• – Shape World Vision’s global social mobilization approach
• – Develop innovative models leveraging local-to-global advocacy
• – Strengthen thought leadership in social mobilization

2. Global Mobilization Leadership (50%):

• – Lead global social and popular mobilization efforts
• – Create resources for national-level mobilization
• – Engage with external partners to increase reach and sustainability
• – Integrate campaign content into marketing and communications

3. Internal Network Management (30%):

• – Strengthen networks across World Vision offices
• – Capture and scale up best practices
• – Collaborate with Marketing & Communications teams
• – Support internal reporting on social mobilization impact

Requirements:

• – Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any subject)
• – Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in campaigning, communications, public engagement, and social mobilization
• – Exceptional project and stakeholder management skills
• – Experience working in complex international and cross-cultural environments
• – Proficiency in online campaigning and mobilization
• – Understanding of policy and advocacy change processes
• – Creative communications and writing experience
• – Ability to influence people to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
