UN Volunteer
CDS seeks experienced fundraising specialists to support their educational initiatives. These positions will focus on developing comprehensive fundraising strategies to support students in need of financial assistance for school fees and tuition across both Kenya and Uganda.
Location: Remote (Supporting initiatives in Kenya and Uganda)
Duration: 8 weeks (6-10 hours per week)

About Community Development And Sustainability Organization (CDS)
CDS is dedicated to empowering communities through sustainable development initiatives, with a special focus on women and girls’ education. Their innovative Women and Girls Education Scholarship (WAGES) program supports students facing financial barriers across Western Kenya and Eastern Uganda.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development
- – Create comprehensive fundraising strategies

- – Adapt existing strategies for two-country implementation
- – Identify sustainable funding sources
Research and Analysis
- – Research potential donors in US and Europe
- – Identify suitable grant opportunities
- – Analyze funding trends
- – Map potential institutional partners
- – Evaluate funding requirements
Documentation
- – Help improve existing proposals
- – Draft donor correspondence
- – Develop presentation materials
- – Create donor approach strategies
- – Prepare funding documentation
Requirements
Essential Skills
- – Proven fundraising experience

- – Excellent writing skills
