Talent Acquisition Specialist – Role Overview
The Talent Acquisition Specialist role at Qatar Airways is responsible for ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality recruitment in alignment with the approved manpower plan. The role involves sourcing top talent globally, advertising vacancies, conducting interviews and assessments, and recommending the best candidates to management. The specialist will also support the development and implementation of psychometric assessments, behavioral evaluation tools, and talent selection frameworks, enabling Qatar Airways to maintain best-in-class hiring standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of talent acquisition campaigns, ensuring recruitment service standards are achieved
- Organize advertising, interviewing, and selection processes for recruitment campaigns and career fairs to attract top talent
- Develop and implement talent acquisition plans to build a high-quality candidate pipeline for current and future vacancies
- Apply best practices in sourcing through advertisement and talent acquisition agencies, assessing candidates for competence, motivation, and cultural fit
- Screen, test, and interview applicants to evaluate suitability and maintain a robust talent pool
- Develop and maintain the onboarding and induction processes in collaboration with HR Admin to ensure seamless integration of new hires
- Monitor the performance of third-party suppliers and provide feedback to maintain service level agreements
- Create weekly recruitment reports, tracking candidate progress, success ratios, and campaign effectiveness
- Promote best practices in talent acquisition, coaching hiring managers on candidate selection, interview techniques, and employment value proposition
- Proactively review recruitment methodologies, recommending process improvements and efficiencies
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned by the Head of Talent Acquisition
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, Vocational Qualification, or Diploma with minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with minimum 4 years of HR or recruitment experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and team working skills
- Analytical and lateral thinking skills with the ability to support complex project management
- Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to liaise with Talent Acquisition Officers, line managers, and candidates
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities
- Experience working with HR systems, recruitment software, and advanced interviewing techniques
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive candidate information with discretion
- Strong accountability and ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in international or corporate recruitment within aviation, airline, or multinational companies
- Knowledge of advanced psychometric and behavioral assessment tools
