Tax Technology Associate

Deloitte East Africa is hiring a Tax Technology Associate for their Tax & Legal Department in Nairobi, Kenya. This role combines tax expertise with technological innovation to deliver high-quality services to clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Support and Implementation

•    – Deliver designated projects and implement agreed deliverables
•    – Design and implement web applications for internal use and clients
•    – Perform data analysis using Deloitte tools to generate insightful reports and dashboards

2. Tax Technology Solutions

•    – Evaluate client tax and business requirements to build optimal tax designs
•    – Design efficient processes and IT architectures integrating tax cycles into ERP systems
•    – Implement tax technology solutions
•    – Collaborate with third-party developers throughout the Software Development Lifecycle

3. Innovation and Business Development

•    – Generate innovative solutions to enhance service offerings
•    – Assist in preparing proposals, tenders, and presentations

Requirements:

• – Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science
• – Deep understanding of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
• – Expertise in business process automation (e.g., Power Apps, UiPath)
• – Practical knowledge of software development and ERP tools
• – Strong presentation and communication skills
• – Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
• – Adaptability and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• – Professional accounting qualification
• – Experience in Tax Compliance & Tax Accounting or automating Direct Tax solutions
