Technical Project Manager

Thunes is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their Solution Delivery team in Nairobi. This role offers unique opportunities to work with diverse partners and teams while managing critical integration projects across the Thunes Cross-Border Payment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• – Spearhead partner integration projects from initial analysis through design, implementation, and post-launch monitoring
• – Provide comprehensive technical guidance on the Thunes platform integration process
• – Develop and implement optimization strategies that benefit both customers and Thunes
• – Facilitate collaboration between sales, support, and delivery teams to ensure alignment with customer requirements
• – Manage technical resource allocation and commitment from customers
• – Drive continuous improvement initiatives for internal systems and processes
• – Conduct technical training sessions for sales team members
• – Create and maintain detailed documentation of partner configurations and technical specifications
• – Adapt to various time zones and occasional international travel requirements

Required Qualifications

• – Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• – Minimum 3 years’ experience managing partner integration projects
• – Strong background in Fintech, Ecommerce, or Payment systems
• – Technical proficiency in RestAPI, JSON, and XML
• – Excellent communication skills with ability to bridge technical and business discussions
• – Proven track record of leadership in project management
• – Strong organizational and presentation abilities
• – Experience working with globally distributed teams
• – Fluent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• – Proficiency in French and local African languages
• – Experience with payment gateway integrations
• – Knowledge of international banking systems
• – Agile project management certification
• – Experience with cross-border payment solutions

Technical Competencies
