Poa! Internet is Hiring Trade Development Representatives to Lead Commission Sales Teams (Full-Time, Mid-Level)

Kenya’s fastest-growing ISP, Poa! Internet, is seeking dynamic Trade Development Representatives to build and lead high-performing commission sales teams. Since 2014, Poa! has been revolutionizing internet accessibility in Kenya, with ambitious plans to expand across East Africa through 150+ networks.

Role Overview

This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced sales leaders to develop and manage commission-based sales teams while driving digital inclusion across Kenya. The role combines team leadership, strategy development, and revenue generation in Nairobi’s dynamic internet service market.

Mission Impact

The successful candidate will:

  • – Build and lead a commission-only sales force
  • – Drive revenue growth through agent recruitment and development
  • – Contribute to Poa!’s vision of providing internet access to every African home
  • – Expand digital inclusion in underserved communities

Key Performance Targets

Team Building Milestones

  • – First Quarter: Recruit 18 new sales agents
  • – Second Quarter: Add 15 new agents
  • – Third Quarter: Bring in 14 additional agents
  • – Fourth Quarter: Recruit 12 more agents

Sales Agent Activation Goals

  • – First Quarter: Maintain 24 active agents
  • – Second Quarter: Scale to 49 active agents
  • – Third Quarter: Grow to 69 active agents
  • – Fourth Quarter: Achieve 84 active agents

Revenue Objectives

  • – First Quarter: Secure 74 new installations
  • – Second Quarter: Achieve 145 installations
  • – Third Quarter: Deliver 205 installations
  • – Fourth Quarter: Complete 249 installations

Essential Requirements

  • – Minimum 3 years of sales experience
  • – At least 1 year leading teams of 5+ people
  • – Proven success in commission-based sales management
  • – Strong track record of exceeding sales targets
  • – Experience in training and developing sales teams

Core Competencies

  • – Expert in recruiting and managing commission-only sales agents
  • – Demonstrated ability to exceed sales budgets
  • – Hands-on field sales process optimization experience
  • – Strong understanding of agency sales models
  • – Excellent team motivation and performance management skills

Leadership Responsibilities

  • – Develop and implement sales strategies
  • – Train and mentor sales agents
  • – Monitor and analyze performance metrics
  • – Maintain marketing materials and point-of-sale displays
