Job Purpose
The Trainer 2 will design, organize, and deliver learning and development programs aligned with regional objectives. The role involves facilitating training, conducting learning needs analysis, and contributing to the evolution of training strategies across ICRC delegations in Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Organize, deliver, and co-facilitate institutional and ad hoc training programs.
- Adapt training content to meet specific delegation needs and contexts.
- Facilitate learning sessions and ensure effective knowledge transfer.
Training Design & Development
- Contribute to the design and improvement of training programs and materials.
- Develop new learning content and update existing courses.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance training quality.
Learning Needs Analysis & Evaluation
- Participate in learning needs assessments across African delegations.
- Conduct training evaluations using established models (e.g., Kirkpatrick).
- Analyze feedback and recommend improvements.
Capacity Building & Support
- Train and mentor new trainers and training relays.
- Provide updated course materials and guidance to regional teams.
- Maintain records of training activities and participants.
Coordination & Reporting
- Prepare training reports and documentation.
- Participate in regional meetings and represent Learning & Development where required.
- Ensure alignment with ICRC training policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Certificate in Training of Trainers (ToT) or equivalent.
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in adult learning and training methodologies.
- Proven experience in facilitating training sessions and workshops.
- Experience in training design is an added advantage.
Language Requirements
- Fluent in Arabic (C1 level – written and spoken).
- Proficiency in English required.
