Assistant Director – Legal Services

Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) is hiring for the Assistant Director – Legal Services position in Nairobi. This is a full time role. Qualification level: Masters. The Financial Reporting Centre (FRC) (Kenya's Financial Intelligence Unit) is established under section 21 of the Proceeds of Crime and Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2009. Key responsibilities

• Preparation of advisory opinions on legal matters relating to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism and Counter Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) to the Centre
• Ensuring the Centre’s compliance with constitutional, regulatory and relevant laws in force through the provision of legal advisory services
• Ensuring efficient management of legal risks arising from contractual engagements
• Oversee the development of amendments to AML/CFT/CPF laws and Regulations
• Preparing, reviewing and monitoring the progress and status of outstanding litigation
