Behavior Trained Elementary Teaching Assistant

Rosslyn Academy is hiring a Behavior Trained Elementary Teaching Assistant to support student growth and facilitate a positive learning environment. 

Key Duties:

• – Model Christian commitment and maintain a positive spiritual environment
• – Exhibit professionalism and promote excellence as a lifelong learner
• – Monitor student behavior using the teacher’s classroom management program
• – Assist and supervise students during individual/group instruction and school activities
• – Support student learning by addressing IEP goals in reading, writing, organizational skills
• – Attend 504/IEP meetings and provide accommodations for tests/assignments as needed
• – Maintain accurate records for behavior goals
• – Assist with classroom instruction, checking work, emergency procedures as requested
• – Communicate effectively and maintain positive relationships with colleagues/parents
• – Participate in school meetings, professional development, self-evaluation

Requirements:

• – Personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
• – Sense of calling to service at Rosslyn Academy
• – Respect for cultural diversity and the body of Christ
• – Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or higher
• – Valid Kenya Teacher Service Commission Number
• – Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
• – Proficiency in technology for word processing, data management, communications
• – Agreement with Rosslyn Academy’s Basic Tenets
• – Preferred: Experience in behavioral management techniques, creating/implementing behavior intervention plans, data collection/monitoring
