Minimum Requirements

  • A Diploma or Degree in Agriculture or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in a related agricultural commercial role
  • Hands-on experience in intensive vegetable farming
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven problem-solving ability in a high-pressure environment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Marketing

  • Lead strategic sales and marketing activities to boost brand visibility
  • Manage local and international event participation to drive marketing growth
  • Explore and establish new market opportunities for the company’s products

Account Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of key customers
  • Develop and nurture strong long-term relationships with clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to increase profitability
  • Ensure timely and successful product delivery aligned with client expectations
  • Provide clear, periodic updates on project progress to stakeholders
  • Identify business development opportunities within existing client accounts
  • Maintain accurate records of debtors and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Organize and facilitate client farm visits and international meetings

People Management

  • Oversee the Sales Team’s daily operations and performance targets
  • Ensure proactive selling of priority produce across the customer base

Customer Relationship Management

  • Strengthen client relationships by ensuring consistent service delivery
  • Plan and execute customer farm site visits with thorough preparation and follow-through

Claims & Dispute Management

  • Oversee review and approval of client claims within 24 hours
  • Resolve claims disputes and monitor trends across production and logistics

New Product Development (NPD)

  • Manage the end-to-end NPD process aligned with client expectations
  • Coordinate with internal teams to deliver prompt and strategic responses
  • Drive product innovation as part of the broader sales and growth strategy

Payments & Credit Control

  • Follow up on payments to ensure sales transactions are fully completed
  • Ensure customers operate within agreed credit limits
