Credit Collections Associate

SunCulture is hiring a Field Credit Collections Associate in Machakos to support their credit management operations. In this role, you’ll facilitate the collection of outstanding payments from customers through field visits and negotiations.

Responsibilities:

• – Conduct on-site visits to customers’ premises to collect overdue payments
• – Negotiate payment arrangements and terms with customers for timely repayment
• – Educate customers on credit obligations and importance of timely payments
• – Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and payment activities
• – Collaborate with internal teams to address customer concerns and disputes
• – Identify and escalate high-risk or delinquent accounts to the Credit Manager
• – Provide regular updates on collection activities and customer feedback
• – Follow up on payment commitments and monitor adherence to schedules
• – Assist in developing strategies to improve collection efficiency
• – Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements for credit collection

Requirements:

• – Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• – 1-2 years of experience in credit collection or similar role, preferably in renewable energy or financial services
• – Strong negotiation, persuasion, and communication skills for diverse customer interactions
• – Proficiency in using mobile devices and software applications for recording and reporting
• – Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• – Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• – Familiarity with local regulations and compliance standards for credit collection in Kenya
• – Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively within assigned territories
• – Fluency in English and Swahili languages
