Job Description

The CSD Account Management Officer will oversee account management activities for participants, investors, and settlement banks within the DhowCSD system. This role is central to supporting CBK’s debt management strategy, ensuring efficient processing of accounts, maintaining system integrity, and facilitating smooth client interactions. The officer also contributes to investor education, system improvements, and operational risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Onboard new participants and settlement banks to the DhowCSD system while ensuring proper KYC procedures.
  • Update and approve client and participant information upon request.
  • Provide guidance and support to CBK clients and participants navigating the accounts management process.
  • Generate regular reports on account activity and summaries to support management decisions.
  • Conduct continuous training for participants and internal staff on DhowCSD functionality and updates.
  • Identify, report, and mitigate risks in accounts management operations.
  • Manage investor education initiatives to increase awareness on government securities and accounts management.
  • Test system processes and submit change requests to support DhowCSD upgrades.
  • Resolve accounts management issues in coordination with system vendors and support call center operations.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
  • Conduct periodic data clean-up exercises to maintain accuracy, completeness, and reliability of client records.
  • Liaise with audit teams by providing documentation and responses to audit queries.
  • Update and review operational manuals, system rules, user guides, and service level agreements.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis reports and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Banking, Business, Public Administration, Law, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in accounts management, financial markets, or related operations.
  • Knowledge of Debt Management is an added advantage.

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge of domestic debt operations, financial markets emerging issues, and central banking operations.
  • Risk management, including identification and mitigation of operational risks.
  • Effective communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Customer service and public relations skills to manage client interactions professionally.
  • Understanding of banking laws and regulations.
