Estates Officer II/I – Valuation & Estates Agency Role Overview

The Estates Officer II/I (Valuation & Estates Agency) is responsible for implementing valuation and estates agency policies, procedures, and guidelines to support effective property management and revenue generation. The role involves undertaking property marketing, letting, sale of housing units, tenant onboarding, rental assessments, and valuation exercises for both new and existing NHC estates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and review valuation and estates agency policies, strategies, procedures, and guidelines in line with National Housing Corporation standards.
  • Undertake marketing, letting, and sale of new and existing estates, including residential and commercial properties.
  • Carry out tenant and purchaser onboarding in accordance with approved NHC procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Provide secretarial and administrative services to the House Sale and Letting Committee, including preparation of reports and minutes.
  • Conduct property market surveys and real estate market studies to support pricing, letting, and sales decisions.
  • Carry out or supervise valuation exercises for land, housing units, and other NHC assets.
  • Perform periodic rental assessments and rental market surveys to ensure competitiveness and optimal returns.
  • Undertake open market valuations to determine the value of the Corporation’s land and housing stock.
  • Analyze and review rental yield performance on an annual basis to support asset management and financial planning.
  • Maintain accurate valuation records, documentation, reports, and journals in line with professional and audit requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards, property regulations, and estate agency best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Land Economics, Real Estate Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications relevant to valuation, estate management, and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of property valuation methods, estates agency operations, and real estate market analysis.
