M-KOPA is seeking a Field Marketing Officer to drive sales and market penetration for electric motorbikes across Kenya. Based in Nairobi, Kitengela or Thika, the role involves field sales, lead generation, product demonstrations, community engagement and market intelligence to support the growth of M-KOPA’s E-Mobility division.

About the Role

The Field Marketing Officer will be part of a startup team within M-KOPA’s wider organisation, helping bring a new product division to market. The role involves direct engagement with customers through field visits, product demonstrations and community events while providing market insights that inform the company’s go-to-market strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute sales strategies and conduct field visits to promote and sell electric motorbikes.
• Generate and convert leads through field visits, customer referrals, partner networks and community engagement.
• Provide product demonstrations and guide customers through the sales process.
• Build strong relationships with customers, local communities, leaders and influencers.
• Support marketing campaigns by distributing promotional materials and organising local events.
• Collect market data, customer feedback and competitor insights.
• Prepare regular reports covering sales activities and conversion rates.
• Stay informed about electric motorbike product features and relevant industry trends.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing or a related field.
• Experience in direct-to-consumer sales, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in Excel and mobile sales tools.
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
