Finance, Operations and Logistics Officer

McKinsey is hiring a Finance, Operations and Logistics Officer to work in their Africa offices as part of a distinctive high-impact program within the Social Sector, Healthcare and Public Sector Entities (SHaPE) practice. The program focuses on building a significant pipeline of investments to kick-start manufacturing in Africa, supporting African governments in attracting and retaining FDI in key manufacturing sectors, and providing technical assistance to increase investment in manufacturing.

Duties:

Financial Management:

• – Develop annual budget preparation and analysis
• – Liaise with wider Africa office finance colleagues to prepare monthly financial analysis
• – Prepare call-down budget and invoicing

Operations Management:

• – Develop call-down proposals
• – Manage templates and liaise with consortium and firm teams
• – Ensure program compliance
• – Facilitate team onboarding and support consortium administration
• – Prepare documents and briefings for the client
• – Manage documents and files

Additional Responsibilities:

• – Present results to internal stakeholders, including leadership
• – Implement recommendations with the wider program management team

Requirements:

• – University degree with an excellent academic record; advanced degree preferred
• – Numeracy and financial literacy
• – Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• – Highly detail-oriented
• – Ability to write concisely and coherently
• – Self-motivated, with the ability to work as a close team
• – Ability to work remotely with colleagues across multiple locations
• – Passion for administration, including financial processes
• – Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English
