ENGIE Mobisol is seeking an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Officer to join their Finance department, reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. This full-time permanent position is available in either Kampala, Uganda or Nairobi, Kenya, offering an exciting opportunity to drive strategic financial decisions across ENGIE Energy Access’s operations in Africa.

Financial Planning & Analysis Officer Job Purpose
As a Financial Planning & Analysis Officer, you will be joining the Global FP&A team responsible for managing business planning processes and providing critical financial data analysis to inform strategic decisions. Your role will involve extracting actionable insights from ENGIE’s extensive dataset to develop financial models and drive strategy execution across the organization’s nine countries of operation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Modeling
- – Own yearly budgeting, reforecasting, and financial modeling for three PAYGO and minigrid markets
- – Develop and manage datasets, reports, and analyses to support decision-making at country and global levels
- – Develop ENGIE’s financial model (Vena) and standalone project models for accurate, data-driven forecasting
- – Act as the Head of Finance for ENGIE’s minigrid business in Uganda
Strategic Analysis & Process Development
- – Lead the development of new processes, analyses, and tools to support operations
- – Analyze financial and business data to drive improvements in sales, pricing, risk management, and cost efficiency
- – Work closely with country teams to support them in meeting financial targets
- – Translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-finance audiences
Requirements
Experience
- – Minimum 4+ years of professional work experience
- – 4+ years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, financial analysis, or similar roles
- – Experience in retail financial services, microfinance, or off-grid solar is highly valued
- – Strong critical thinking and analytical mindset
- – Exceptional project management and collaboration skills
- – Excellent communication abilities
- – Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
Education
- – Bachelor’s degree or higher
Language Skills
- – Fluency in English is required
– French language skills are a plus
Technical Skills
- – Strong proficiency in MS Excel
- – Advanced financial modeling and analysis capabilities
- – Basic understanding of accounting principles
- – SQL skills are a plus
- – Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Vena, Anaplan) is advantageous
