ENGIE Mobisol Kenya Limited is currently seeking a detail-oriented Archiving Officer Intern to join their Operations department in Nairobi, Kenya. This full-time temporary internship position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with archival experience to contribute to the organization’s record management systems.

Archiving Officer Intern Job Purpose
As an Archiving Officer Intern, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization, preservation, and retrieval of records and documents within the company’s archives. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of company records and ensuring accessibility for authorized personnel.
Key Responsibilities
Records Management
- – Manage organizational records and documents according to established archival standards
- – Implement proper documentation preservation techniques for historical records
- – Create detailed catalogues and indexes of archival materials for easy retrieval
- – Oversee digitization projects to convert physical records into digital formats
- – Implement access controls and security measures for sensitive information
- – Provide research support to staff and stakeholders
- – Ensure compliance with regulations and policies related to records management
Requirements
Education
- – Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, or a related field
Experience and Skills
- – Previous experience in archives, libraries, or records management
- – Strong knowledge of archival principles, practices, and standards
- – Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and data entry
- – Experience assisting customers/clients with escalated issues
- – Critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability in fact-finding and analysis
- – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- – Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- – Effective time management and multi-tasking capabilities
- – Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- – Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
- – Adaptability to work in a flexible, creative environment with evolving operations
Language Requirements
- – Fluency in both English and Kiswahili
Technical Skills
- – Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Word and Excel
