Job Description
As a Food Delivery Rider at CJ’s, you will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries of food and beverages to our customers. You will act as a crucial liInk between our kitchen and our customers, maintaining professionalism, efficiency, and top-tier service with every delivery you make. If you have a passion for customer service, knowledge of Nairobi’s roads, and enjoy working in dynamic environments, then this role is tailor-made for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely deliver customer orders to various locations across Nairobi while maintaining CJ’s service standards.
- Ensure food orders are accurate, well-packaged, and meet hygiene standards before leaving the restaurant.
- Use GPS or route navigation systems to plan and optimize delivery routes.
- Communicate professionally with customers about delivery statuses, delays, or special requests.
- Maintain a neat appearance and represent the CJ’s brand with excellence during every delivery.
- Verify and log each delivery to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Report any issues, incidents, or customer complaints to supervisors promptly.
- Perform daily vehicle/bike checks to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety guidelines while on duty.
- Support additional logistics tasks as needed during peak times.
Required Qualifications
- KCSE Certificate or equivalent level of education.
- A valid motorbike riding license (Class A).
- Basic mechanical knowledge of motorbike maintenance is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Nairobi roads, estates, and traffic patterns.
- Physically fit and able to ride for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years’ experience in food or courier delivery services in Nairobi.
- Previous experience with well-known delivery apps or platforms.
- Customer service or hospitality experience.
- Ability to communicate in both English and Kiswahili fluently.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
