Global HRBP (Compliance & Policies)

One Acre Fund is hiring for the role of Global HRBP (Compliance & Policies) to ensure their HR practices align with legal frameworks across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Job Responsibilities

• – Ensure high-quality and compliant HR procedures, such as health insurance, leave policies, conflict of interest, risk and compliance training, and adherence to the code of conduct, across countries of operation.
• – Maintain legal compliance for all HR activities, staying updated on legal changes and advising on their implications.
• – Lead the creation and periodic review of HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with One Acre Fund’s best practices and ethos.
• – Oversee employment contracts, ensuring they meet legal requirements across different jurisdictions.
• – Collaborate with HR teams in various countries to ensure consistent application of legal best practices in HR operations.
• – Develop and maintain standardized procedures for disciplinary actions and restructure/redundancy programs, adhering to local labor laws.

Requirements

• – An HR professional certification (CHRP, SPHRi, SHRM).
• – At least 5 years of experience in HR compliance, in a multi-country context.
• – Familiarity with Sub-Saharan Africa’s employment laws and international HR practices.
• – Excellent proficiency in English.
