Job Description

This is a high-impact opportunity for a strategic thinker and financial expert who can support the CFO in aligning Group-level performance with long-term goals. The Senior Manager – Group Business Analyst will be responsible for deep-dive financial and business analytics, strategic planning, corporate finance initiatives, and executive stakeholder collaboration. The position will also support group-wide decision-making through robust modeling, scenario analysis, and recommendations that influence the business trajectory across Equity’s diverse subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Business Analysis: Partner with the CFO to assess business trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend performance improvements across all Equity subsidiaries.
  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Develop and maintain complex financial models, scenario planning tools, and valuation frameworks to inform business investments and strategic choices.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze group and subsidiary-level financial results, providing insight into profitability drivers and areas for optimization.
  • Corporate Finance & Due Diligence: Support corporate finance transactions including M&A assessments, investment due diligence, and financial structuring.
  • Problem Solving: Lead diagnostic and solution-focused initiatives to address organizational challenges across finance, operations, and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for the CFO’s office, collaborating with investor relations, legal, and senior leadership across multiple regions.
  • Executive Reporting: Prepare compelling and data-driven presentations, dashboards, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with cross-border teams and departments to implement and monitor strategic initiatives, ensuring consistent alignment with Group goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, or ACCA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, corporate finance, investment banking, or financial consulting.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation methods, and strategic planning processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex financial projects with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to executive audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Proficiency in French or Swahili as a second language is advantageous.
  • Experience in a multi-country or regional financial institution.
  • Familiarity with capital markets and investor relations functions.
