About the Role

The human resource management role involves implementing HR policies, strategies, guidelines, and standards while supporting day-to-day employee administration. The officer will handle HR records, payroll processes, recruitment and promotion documentation, leave administration, training applications, and related reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement human resource management policies, strategies, guidelines, and standards.
• Draft and verify routine human resource correspondence.
• Prepare human resource management reports and summaries.
• Process and verify payroll information.
• Carry out data entry and processing related to human resource functions.
• Prepare agendas and implement board resolutions as required.
• Maintain the human resource management database.
• Collate and analyze training applications.
• Process employee recruitment, promotion, and exit documentation.
• Process leave applications, sick sheets, and sick leave documentation.
• Maintain compliment control.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the academic pathways specified by Kenya Medical Training College for appointment to this level.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• OR a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Sociology, or Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised and accredited institution.
• For the second pathway, a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or a Certified Human Resource Practitioner (CHRP) course from a recognised and accredited institution is required.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
